Post-Build Next Steps

Your site is live — congratulations. Here's everything you should do next to make sure it gets found, trusted, and used.

Priority:EssentialImportantRecommended
01

Connect Your Custom Domain

Essential

Why it matters

Your site currently lives on a temporary URL. A custom domain (e.g. yourbusiness.com) makes you look professional, builds trust, and is essential for SEO.

How to do it

  • Purchase a domain through GoDaddy if you don't already have one
  • In your Airo Builder dashboard, go to Settings → Domain
  • Follow the prompts to connect your domain
  • Allow up to 48 hours for DNS to fully propagate

02

Edit Your Site Content via the Airo CMS

Essential

Why it matters

Your site is live — but your text, images and offers will need updating over time. Airo Builder has a built-in editor so you can make changes without touching any code.

How to do it

  • Log in to your GoDaddy account and go to My Products
  • Find your Airo site and click "Edit Site" to open the builder
  • Click directly on any text, image or section to edit it in place
  • Use the left-hand panel to add new sections, change layouts or update colours
  • Hit "Publish" when you're happy — changes go live instantly
  • For bigger changes (new pages, new features), use the Prompt Generator to create a new prompt and paste it into the builder chat

Set Up a Professional Email Address

Essential

Why it matters

Emailing from [email protected] instead of a Gmail or Hotmail address dramatically increases trust and open rates.

How to do it

  • GoDaddy offers professional email hosting alongside your domain
  • Set up at least one address (e.g. hello@, info@, or your name@)
  • Update your website's contact details to use the new address
  • Set up email forwarding if you want messages to arrive in your existing inbox

Submit to Google Search Console

Essential

Why it matters

Google won't automatically find your site. Submitting it tells Google you exist and speeds up indexing — meaning you appear in search results faster.

How to do it

  • Go to search.google.com/search-console and sign in with a Google account
  • Add your domain as a property
  • Verify ownership (Google will guide you through this)
  • Submit your sitemap (usually yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml)
  • Check back after a week to see how many pages are indexed

Add Google Analytics

Essential

Why it matters

Without analytics you're flying blind. Google Analytics shows you how many people visit, where they come from, which pages they read, and where they drop off.

How to do it

  • Create a free account at analytics.google.com
  • Set up a new property for your website
  • Copy the tracking code (G-XXXXXXXX)
  • Use the Analytics & Conversion Tracking prompt from the Prompt Library to add it to your site
  • Set up at least one conversion goal (e.g. contact form submission)

Claim Your Google Business Profile

Essential

Why it matters

A Google Business Profile puts your business on Google Maps and in local search results. It's free and one of the highest-impact things you can do for local visibility.

How to do it

  • Go to business.google.com and sign in
  • Search for your business name — claim it if it already exists
  • Fill in every field: address, hours, phone, website, photos
  • Verify your listing (usually by postcard or phone)
  • Ask your first customers to leave a Google review

Set Up Social Media Profiles

Important

Why it matters

Even if you don't plan to post regularly, claiming your business name on key platforms prevents others from using it and gives you more places to be found online.

How to do it

  • Decide which platforms matter for your audience (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X)
  • Create business pages — not personal profiles
  • Use the same logo, colours and bio across all platforms for consistency
  • Add your website URL to every profile
  • Link to your social profiles from your website footer
08

Get Your First Reviews

Important

Why it matters

Reviews are one of the most powerful trust signals online. A handful of genuine reviews can dramatically increase enquiries and conversions.

How to do it

  • Ask your best existing customers personally — a direct ask works far better than a mass email
  • Send a direct link to your Google Business review page
  • Respond to every review, positive or negative, professionally
  • Add a "Leave us a review" link to your email signature
  • Consider adding a testimonials section to your website
09

Share Your Site Launch

Recommended

Why it matters

Your network is your first audience. A launch post on social media, an email to existing contacts, and a message to local groups can drive your first real visitors.

How to do it

  • Write a short launch post for your social media channels
  • Email your existing customers or contacts with a link
  • Share in relevant local Facebook groups or community forums
  • Add your website URL to your email signature
  • Tell people in person — word of mouth still works
10

Plan Your Content Strategy

Recommended

Why it matters

A website is never truly finished. Regular updates — blog posts, new photos, updated offers — signal to Google that your site is active and keep visitors coming back.

How to do it

  • Decide how often you can realistically publish new content
  • Start a simple blog if you have useful knowledge to share
  • Update your homepage seasonally with current offers or news
  • Use the Prompt Library's SEO and Copywriting prompts to improve existing pages
  • Set a reminder to review your site every 3 months
